The Jesuits are members of the "Society of Jesus", an order within the Roman Catholic Church, that was founded in 1540 AD by Ignatius of Loyola. The order had the specific purpose of spearheading the counter reformation. Meaning: its goal was to crush the reformation, bringing all "protestants" back under the leadership of the Pope. Jesuits swear a special oath of allegiance to the order, and to the Pope in particular. Jesuits are responsible for much of the missionary efforts of the Catholic church, and have done an incredible job with infiltrating and impacting every area of society in almost all nations - much similar to what some modern-day evangelical movements are trying to achieve (see e.g. "The 7 Mountain Strategy"). Jesuits have worked as advisers to kings and governments (including the Royal court of Thailand). By doing so, they have helped to establish schools, universities, hospitals, and entire legal, economic, financial and political systems, pretty much with the effect of immunizing entire societies against the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please understand: I am not against schools, universities, hospitals or just laws. But if these are all that "Christians" are known for, we lost the main message. And that is, that sinners from any background, culture, nation and language can be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ! It's good to do good, but it is evil to withhold the only message that can save. Jesuits don't care a dime fore the salavation of people. All they care about is that all people will eventually come under the authority of the pope. And for that, all methods are okay for them to use. They are deceptive to the core, they are wolves in sheeps' clothing: they are well educated, do good, appear humble, are even tolerant of other religions (except of true Biblical Christianity, which they tried to crush in the most brutal means imaginable), but do not be mistaken: they will not tell you the truth about God, nor about the true state of your soul. They want you to be content with religion of any kind, but eventually want to lead all religions coming together as one, with the Pope at the top. So, in a time where huge parts of the confessing church have close to nill doctrinal foundation anymore, it can be expected that Francis, as the "Pope of the poor" will find many fans among evangelicals. The goal: To deceive even the elcet, if it was possible (see Mark 13:22).
